Making a Difference in My Community Through Media and Information Literacy.

 Being media and information literate means knowing how to find, evaluate, and share information responsibly. This skill is important, especially today when so much of what we see online can be misleading. As someone who values media and information literacy, I believe I can make a real difference in my community. On a personal level, I can help others understand how to identify credible sources and think critically about the content they consume. For example, I can teach friends and family how to spot fake news or misinformation, which is everywhere these days. By sharing what I know, I can help them avoid being misled and encourage responsible sharing of information online. Professionally, media and information literacy allows me to advocate for ethical practices.
